During my childhood, sports were not part of my life. I was an active child, like most kids, but nothing more. My teenage years were difficult. Around the age of 12, everything changed. I dropped out of school completely and got kicked out of one school after another. I used more and more drugs and developed the habits of an offender who courted crime. I felt like a square being forced into a circle. I felt bad about myself, bad about my life.
After several years of setbacks where I fled reality, I decided to try to finish my high school studies by integrating a sport-study program in boxing offered by a gym in the St-Michel district in Montreal, the Gym Ness-Martial . I had to work hard mentally, intellectually and physically. Boxing allowed me to develop a life discipline and the study program pushed me to set goals and reach them. I discovered that surpassing oneself both physically and mentally provides satisfaction and well-being a hundred times stronger than anything I had known.
This experience profoundly changed my life and allowed me to anchor myself in solid and lasting values. That’s why I decided to make it the centre of my life. I took a recognized course, Ataraxia, to practice the profession of private trainer while continuing to train on a personal basis and participating in various endurance activities (half-marathon, triathlon and others). I gained solid experience working for various gyms like Énergie Cardio and Gold’s Gym for a few years. Today, I am self-employed and sometimes take subcontractor contracts with recognized gyms. Reaching beyond physical and mental limits is a passion for me. Conscious of the well-being it brings, I do everything I can to help people reach their full potential by helping them develop a healthy lifestyle.
Training is more than just physical activity, it is a state of mind that influences all spheres of our life. This state of mind encourages me to improve myself, to push my limits, to become better. Why? Simply because we all deserve the best, peace and happiness. We only have one life to live , better make the best of it. My journey has only just begun. Want to travel together ?
